Travis Katz recommended Westin Kierland Resort and Spa
The Kierland is a nice, if not amazing, hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the lobby area is nice, and the restaurants are very good. The big downside for me was that the internet was slow ... read more
to the point of being unusable half of the time - not acceptable if you are here for work, not for play. If you are here for play, though, there is a very nice golf course and pool area, and you can walk to lots of shops and restaurants.

The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona is a place to relax, recharge, and rejuvenate – especially if you come from the East Coast during winter time. If you play golf – step outside ... read more
the hotel and do all the golfing you want. If you don’t play golf – you can still enjoy the golf course, looking at the striking green landscape from your window, with beautiful mountains in the background. You can go to the spa and let them take care of your stressed body and dehydrated skin. I really enjoyed the spa services but my two favorite things were floating on the lazy river during the day and sitting around the fire pit at night with a glass of wine, wrapped in a blanket. I also like the option of not only dining at the hotel but walking a few minutes to an upscale outdoor shopping area with several great restaurants.

Oak Park in Illinois and Spring Green in Wisconsin only explains part of Wright's development as an iconic architect - touring Taliesin West will give you a better idea of how he incorporated natural shapes and colors into his indoor / outdoor building and home designs.

Priceline often has especially good deals on Scottsdale resorts, if you don't mind not knowing exactly where you'll be staying before you bid. I've had better luck with Priceline in Scottsdale than most other places. If you don't rent a car at the airport, you'll probably end up spending about the same amount of money overall with a taxi ride to/from Scottsdale, then renting a car somewhere around Scottsdale.
