Besides all the 'World 7 natural wonder' list, Jeju island is worth visiting if you are in Korea. The island used to be a different country in the old days. They have their unique culture, language and cuisine.

In addition to its natural sites such as the extinct volcano and beautiful coastlines, Jeju Do is also quite famous for it being the filming location of hit Korean Dramas such as Full House, All In, and Dae Jang Geum. We were little fans and had the mission to hit a few of these filming locations. That made for a fun touring excursion for us.

Dubbed 'Korea's Hawaii', the little volcanic dot of Jeju Island (Jeju-do) has an almost mythical status amongst the Korean population as the most beautiful spot in the whole country. It attracts thousands of honeymooners every year, and many thousands more to chill out on its summertime beaches (the water's none too warm, though!), or who come to climb Hallasan, an extinct volcano that's S. Korea's highest peak (although at just shy of 2000 m, it's hardly a monster). Personally, I find Jeju merely OK, and if you're going to visit, be sure it's in summer! Winter, even in Korea's Hawaii, can get pretty bleak.
