Jiko is located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and requires extremely advanced reservations and a full stomach beforehand. It is one of those restaurants that is considered so upscale, its name must always be whispered. The reputation exists for a reason, as locals will come all the way out to the resort just to dine here. The African and Indian style selections were mouthwatering and unique, but I have to admit that I left pretty hungry and pretty broke. For the tiny selections, it is very overpriced – even for luxury dining. An entrée should never be finished in three or four spoonfuls. I found myself munching on my little brother’s kids’ meal, which he did not even finish, as it presented a wastefully large portion compared to my grownup order. I decided to order a second entrée, and received another couple of bites of tasty African cuisine. It is delicious enough to drive you crazy if you are here on a budget, trying to fuel up after a day at the parks, or are anywhere near the starving-college-kid age range.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

I consider this a more "grown up" type of restaurant unless you have kids who are adventurous eaters.
More than anything I love the citrus coconut basmati rice as an accompanyment to my meal. There are several options to choose from. I enjoyed mine and my friends are always raving about theirs.
