2491 Notre Dame Street West. This is quite the joint, the place and the food is fun. The plates change regularly and can be described as "provincial" and always taste fresh and unctuous. Juicy surf and turfs. The foie gras double down is genius. The deserts are great.

If you are a foodie, this is THE place to eat in Montreal. The menu is phenomenal: lobster, duck, hare, oysters, foie gras double down... and the list keeps on going. The place is kinda small and always packed so be sure to reserve well in advance (you can reserve online via OpenTable.com). It's expensive (around $200 for two for dinner) but quite memorable. A place not to be missed.

This is must food destination in Montreal. It will give you a sense of what contemporary Montreal cuisine is all about, unpretentious, local, hearty. Beautiful seafood, meats, beautifully prepared, and lovely casual ambiance.
