Home to the Detroit Red Wings, this building is loaded with history. It's a great place to catch a hockey game because all of the seats have decent views. Sure the building is outdated, but there's a certain charm to that. In addition to the Wings you can catch the occasional concert, fight or monster truck show held here. They even used to have an indoor soccer team, but they've been gone for some time now. The point is, this place is a classic among arenas and a must-top for any real hockey fan. Detroit is Hockeytown after all.Recommended for

Never was a hockey fan, grew up on Cape Cod, MA..until I moved to Michigan. I remember the Steelers were playing the Cowboys in the Super Bowl, huge football fan majorly disappointed by the "Steelers passing to no fellow player which 2 interceptions cost them the Superbowl" and I said I'm on strike from football, started watching hockey. My friends were die hard fans and I fell in love. The Wings were in their glory 1995-2001, drank from the Stanley Cup, mourned over the limo accident and even though I am in MA, still a die hard Red Wings fan. Enough with the strike already! My first game at the Joe was on Halloween, what a night! My girlfriends bday and we were up on the big screen. A must see if hockey gets it together, no matter what team your a fan of, Hockey Town is Hockey Town for a reason!
