Walk out the door of the John Jeffries hotel and you're already at the footbridge leading to the Charles River Esplanade, the perfect place to get some exercise and take in the picturesque Boston skyline. Head the other direction and explore all that Charles Street has to offer, with its charming local shops and tasty eateries. Given the proximity of these quintessential Boston sites, you won't likely be spending much time in your room here, but it's not a bad place to rest your head and relax after a day of exploring. And the price is pretty stellar for the location. Rooms are clean and simple, but certainly on the smaller side. I thought the dark wooden bed-frames, bureaus and coffee tables gave the rooms a slightly homier feel. My only complaints are that the rooms are pretty dark, even with all the lights on, and it can get loud if you're on the street side.
Most rooms include a kitchenette complete with refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Rooms also feature full baths, telephones, color televisions, satellite service, and climate control systems Rooms with kitchenettes are furnished with cookware and utensils. Elevator service transport guests to all four stories of the house.
