Most of Iceland has great visibility for seeing the lights, but a really unforgettable view can be found by the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. The lights are reflected on the surface of the lagoon, so you can enjoy double the display. For just $31 dollars you can also enjoy a boat tour on the lagoon to completely immerse yourself.

Very good, but a very long trek from Reykjavik. Trade off is better with other sites, I think. The icebergs were also a bit sparse and smaller than you'd be led to believe from the brochures. Eating a piece of glacier was pretty cool, though.

You simply can't miss this glacier lagoon! We went in winter, when the snow makes the scenery more intimate, the ice more blue and beautiful! We saw a couple kayaking in the lake, super cool!! They were recording a video to show it to the world, which is fantastic.
