Jost Van Dyke is BVI's hidden treasure. More low key, less developed and relaxed than the other islands, it nevertheless equals or outshines them in terms of raw, natural beauty. There's a number of little tucked-away B&Bs, resorts and such, and just enough hopping night life to keep you from craving a trip to one of the more populous islands. Check it out, it's awesome.

What an amazing, beautiful, relaxing island! The people are wonderful, the beaches perfect and it's surrounded by beautiful blue water.
You will never find another place like Jost. Stop by Ivan's Stress Free Bar and sit and drink for a bit. You will be very happy you did.
Down the way you'll find the Soggy Dollar. You have to have a painkiller. It's one drink you'll never forget but if you have to many you may not remember!
We have been to Jost Van Dyke in the BVI a few times and it's a place I hate to leave and long to go back to.
Peace and blessings, JVD. We will be back!

The beach is fantastic. You can have lunch lying in the sun at One Love Bar. They fish pescado at the moment. The main street of the island is made of sand. there are palm trees everywhere. The island is also famous for Foxy's bar.

Description

Jost Van Dyke would certainly be a finalist in a "most relaxed place on earth" contest. Its nickname is the "barefoot" island, it is the birthplace of the "Painkiller" drink, and its main street is, literally, a beach. Secluded cays and parties on the Great Harbour are the entertainment on hand for the few hundred locals and visiting yachters.
