This is actually a pretty chill, laid back bar. I'm only speaking of the bar area, not the B&B.
They make really good kamikazee's, or any mixed drink rather. That's more their specialty than beer. It's darkly lit, and not too loud, but not quiet enough that you hear aeveryone else. There's no dancing, but there is light music playing. Like I said, it's a great place to relax and have a conversation.Recommended for:

I loved the B&B, but I couldn't stand the street or the location. Via Giulio Cesare is so crowded with those stalls and pushy sellers that I found it aggravating, especially trying to get down the street and even find the place so the sidewalk real estate is greatly reduced between the crowds and the sellers. The area is very noisy, but it is near the Vatican, St. Peter's and other things that you will want to see. There's lots to do nearby though, so, if you're new to Rome, this location is probably ideal for you. Lots of shops (pricey!) and stores nearby. The establishment is well run, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. The hotel is just two steps from the Ottaviano metro station so you can't go wrong with that (take the train from the airport to Termini and take Metro A to Ottaviano -- a straight shot!). Being close to the metro is ideal because you can easily get to other parts of the city during the day.Recommended for:

On a very busy, touristy street very close to the Vatican only seconds from the metro station. You have to ring the bell and walk past a courtyard and down to the second lift and go to the 4th floor. The owner is not always there so you need to make arrangements to meet for keys etc.but very helpful. All rooms have their bathroom and you can use the communal kitchen so it feels like you are living in a big house with other guests which is fun. Room clean and tidy and comfortable. When you walk out onto the street, there are market stalls and many places to eat. There is a real buzz around but not many Italians in the area since this is one of the top tourist areas but it’s quite quiet at night. If you are a light sleeper, get a room facing the internal courtyard.Recommended for:
