Julius Ceasar Pub

Via Castelfidardo, 49, Rome, Province of Rome, Italy

This is actually a pretty chill, laid back bar. I'm only speaking of the bar area, not the B&B. They make really good kamikazee's, or any mixed drink rather. That's more their specialty than beer. It's darkly lit, and not too loud, but not quiet enough that you hear aeveryone else. There's no dancing, but there is light music playing. ...

Sant'Andrea delle Fratte is a late Renaissance/Baroque church dedicated to St. Andrew and at one time was the church of the Scottish people in Rome (as St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland). Part of the building was designed by the Baroque architectural genius, Borromini. Inside are some angels designed by Bernini and intended for the Ponte Sant'Angelo but ...

What a original place in Rome. This block was designed at the beginning of 1900 in a very original style by the architect Coppede. It is a very fascinating and mysterious place. Houses are really strange, a little gothic I would say, with very high ceilings and strange style. The entrance to it is a huge arch connecting two buildings. ...

It's amazing how the churches that appear small in Rome look so grand inside, while churches that look grand like the Trinità dei Monti can actually be so modest within. This church, located at the top of the Spanish Steps, holds regular service that visitors can participate in. It's also full of art, though not as much as many of ...

The fountain made by Giacomo Della Porta is situated in the middle of the interesting square and in front of it you can admire a beautiful building that dates back to the Eighteenth Century. Santa Pudenziana is probably the oldest Christian church in Rome. It doesn’t look interesting at all from the outside, and inside it’s pretty plain, but the main attraction here are the 4th century mosaics (they have been restored). The mosaics (considered to be the oldest in Rome) are very impressive and colorful, they depict some religious scene. It’s worth a ...

Run by an American expat, these are tours of some spectacular castles and estates and their gardens. Small, boutique style---just you, your friend(s) and the guide. Le Talpe calls itself a "concept store," which—since the place manages to be so many things at once—is probably the best moniker. The store-cum-gallery promotes up-and-coming artists and designers, particularly Italians, selling everything from their art to jewelry to clothing. Every month, all of the items in the store are switched out and new items (and designers) brought in, often ...

At this little boutique/workshop, every item of clothing is either handmade or vintage. The handmade items are made by the artisans at Le Gallinelle themselves, who both design and sew the blouses, dresses, sweaters, trousers and jackets right there. Like something, but it's not fitting quite right? No worries—the benefit of having in-house seamstresses means they'll alter it for you ...
