Julius Ceasar Pub

Via Castelfidardo, 49, Rome, Province of Rome, Italy
1 review

This is actually a pretty chill, laid back bar. I'm only speaking of the bar area, not the B&B. They make really good kamikazee's, or any mixed drink rather. That's more their specialty than beer. It's darkly lit, and not too loud, but not quiet enough that you hear aeveryone else. There's no dancing, but there is light music playing. ...

Service was a bit dodgy and they were out of most food items by the evening, but fabulous location for amazing cocktails amid the sculptures. Pretty camp but fun! Have coffee or tea among the statues!

One of the best places to get coffee in Rome. Italian coffee is usually not sitting and hanging out in the cafe. Drink it at the bar quickly and move out! :) Interior at this cafe is quite charming. Located in the heart of Rome, in front of the Senato della Repubblica palace, it is just a few steps away ...

    Giolitti - Centro Storico

1.32 mi from Julius Ceasar Pub

I'm not the type to go crazy over gelato. I mean, I love it. It's just not something I obsess over like pizza or perfectly symmetrical building plans. That said, Giolitti is a fun place to get great gelato artigianale with the rest of the known universe. Yes, everyone is coming here, and for good reason. The gelato is superb; ...

    Forno Campo de' Fiori

1.68 mi from Julius Ceasar Pub
    13 reviews

Probably the best place for a cheap bite in the Forno. The pastries are a hit, but you really ought to try the selection of pizzas. Whether you get a slice of pizza rossa or a more substantial slice, the prices are good and they can be folded to go for easy eating by the water structure outside.

Tips for ordering tiramisu at Pompi (for Americans): (1) Figure out if you want to eat inside or have it to-go. If dining inside, head to the tables and jump to (4). (2) If to-go, pay for it at the cassa. (3) Take the receipt to the bar. (4) Select a variety: classic, Nutella, dark chocolate, mixed berry, strawberry or ...

    Pizzarium

2.86 mi from Julius Ceasar Pub

I got a recommendation from a fellow traveler about Pizzarium. It was close to our hotel in Rome so we went there our first night. It was the best pizza slice I had in Rome. We ordered the one with tomatoes and it was delicious. They reheated it in the oven for us and cut it into even smaller pieces ...

    Old Bridge Gelateria

2.36 mi from Julius Ceasar Pub

Great texture and friendly enough service, Old Bridge is one of the more talked-about gelaterie in Rome. Not surprisingly, there's often a crowd in front. I opted to go on a rainy day, and there was still a five minute wait. I had the dark chocolate and the pistachio. Both were good, but I felt they could've had a bit ...

Everybody knows about Gusto, but that's cool. It's cavernous, modern place, with a view of ivy-bedecked ruins, that serves a sort of holy grail meal for expats in Rome...Sunday Brunch. The pizzas and normal dinner menus are very good, too.

Rude Roman waiters, salty, chewy carbonara, and authentic cappricciosa pizza with a sunny side up egg smack in the middle are the delights of this institution. Show up, queue for a table and worship at the altar of casual Roman dining.
