I had a lot of fun at Jurong Bird Park and it was a good change of pace from the Historic Heritage walks around the city, but I think it was a little hyped. Probably great if you've got a family, but I still enjoyed seeing all the different bird species myself.

The Jurong Bird Park is fun for a few hours of family frills. The walk in aviary is the largest in the world and the kids will probably feel like Mugly from the Jungle Book the way I did way back when. Just don't watch Hitchcock's 'The Birds' before you go. Highlights for me were getting eyeball to eyeball with an ostrich and the 30 meter waterfall - a good way to beat the heat in sultry Singapore :-)

I've never seen so many types of birds before. This place has tons to explore! I'd definitely set aside at least half the day for this place, if not more. In some areas you can actually get up close to the birds and I petted a few (those big blue ones). Pretty cool!

I used to like Jurong Bird Park very much, but during my recent visit there not long ago, I found that the park was too crowded - perhaps, the Park should limit the number of people in a day to capture the 'authentic feeling' of being in the park.
