Kailua town have a nice set up for the local farmers market. It is right in the center of the town square. Lots of farmers and vendors selling food, drinks, and locally made things. The market has a nice mix of people from young to elders, a cool local vibe that supports the community. It is not touristy like the Saturday KCC market. If you are on the east side of the island, definitely stop by for local eats, drinks, and cool atmosphere.

It's my general practice that every time I notice a farmers market I take some time to check out what they are offering. The fruits and vegetables offered at places like the Kailua Thursday Night Farmers' Market are amazingly delicious, and are hardly as expensive as most everything you can find in local supermarkets. I like to take the seeds from the fruit after I eat it and grow new plants with them in my garden since the organic offerings are so perfectly suited to be thrive in Hawaii. The Kailua Market is a great place to find all sorts of locally harvested goods. Whether it's harvested from the ocean, or products of solid ground, everything offered here is top quality and free of harmful pesticides and preservatives. If you are in Windward Oahu on a Thursday, consider lingering around into the evening and sample farm fresh goods that are just about some of the best quality such products you can find anywhere.
