This is the least expensive part of Santorini that exists.
If you are on a budget but still want to explore this beautiful island then this is the area to be in.
Lots of restaurants and the Black Sand Beaches are amazing!
You actually can stay in a comfortable 3 star hotel in this area that would be the same price as a hostel in Fira.

A pleasant beach resort, away from the hustle and bustle of other parts of the island, whilst still within easy reach of Oia and Fira. It was also much more reasonably priced than other trendier locations.

If you are spending more than a couple of days on the island, staying in Kamari is a nice change of pace. Things are a little more laid back and not as busy. But if you only have a couple of days, stay in Fira.
