West Oahu has so much potential as a hub of activity, and Koolina is a large part of the up and coming attraction of this side of the island.
Fix the commuting challenges, and I think the potential of this side of the island will be fully realized.Recommended for:

Is very nice and a remote area. With the new Disney Resort now there it is still a hidden gem but offering a lot more to see. It is pricey so if you are going to visit prepare for Disney prices but the beaches are all still public and free. It makes a great weekend vacation for both the tourist and local's.

Dubbed the Second City, Kapolei has certainly grown since the days of my childhood. To give you a sense of perspective, it used to be empty fields of grass and sugarcane fields. Now, you'll find a Costco, Target, Chili's and government buildings. Getting through has become a bit of a hassle, though with traffic comes lots of fun, as this city is certainly bustling in a way it has never been before.
