With a brand-new boardwalk alongside the highway, this petite national wildlife refuge is a haven for both native endangered water birds and migratory species like the Pacific golden plover. Come in the early morning or late afternoon when the sun is less intense and you have a better chance of spotting not only birds, but also sea turtles nesting in the sand.Recommended for:
