    Cable Car Museum

0.2 mi from Keiko a Nob Hill
    19 reviews

Super cool old school technology. The heart of the whole SF cable car system, with views of all the key components actually operating and running the system... the cables, the wheels, all the gears, etc. Lots of historic pictures of the cable cars and SF in general. Recommended to everybody, but I think nerds in particular will especially appreciate it.

    Cable Cars - California Line

0.21 mi from Keiko a Nob Hill
    12 reviews

The Cable Cars of San Francisco serve both as attractions and public transit. Most visitors wanting to ride one of the cars often overlook the California Line -- the one line that runs east-west. Used mostly by commuters, it's less crowded and involves little wait time to board. It scales the steep part of California Street, passes Grace Cathedral, and ...

    Wreck Room

0.18 mi from Keiko a Nob Hill
    3 reviews

Wreck Room is a fun bar with great beers on tap and capable bartenders. What makes it notable are the games in the spacious bar, from shuffleboard to billiards. Unfortunately, peak nights pack this place in with rowdy crowds, making this bar a no-go for my friends and I. On a weekday, however, it's quite a nice place to spend ...

    Union Square

0.52 mi from Keiko a Nob Hill
    217 reviews

Union Square is great to visit during the holidays, when they really go all out and the tree and the ice rink create Christmas decor magic. When it's not the holidays, there's not a lot to see, but it's great to bask in the sun on a nice day, and sometimes there's an art festival or something like that going ...

    Chinatown

0.52 mi from Keiko a Nob Hill
    189 reviews

San Francisco's Chinatown is huge. There is so much to see and do, and it's quite easy to pick out a place to eat as the restaurant and street vendors are everywhere. Don't be afraid of hole-in-the-walls! I was there in late February, and it wasn't as packed with people as I've heard it can get.

    The Embarcadero

0.81 mi from Keiko a Nob Hill
    100 reviews

I've been around long enough to remember driving along the old Embarcadero Freeway. I'd get on at the end of Broadway and that big ugly roadway would take me to I-80 and points beyond. I even participated in a bike ride on the top deck, which was closed for the occasion. Then the 1989 Earthquake happened and opened up the ...

This is a cool bar. It is an old speakeasy and aims to take you back in time. They ask for a password at the door to get in, and take you through a door hidden behind a bookshelf to get your drinks. Inside you find bartenders in period clothes serving up mean cocktails. There were not enough seats when ...

Constructed during a period dubbed the American Renaissance, City Hall is a beautiful display of architecture serving as the political heart of San Francisco. It’s significance is made even more clear if you’ve ever seen the film Milk, starring Sean Penn. It was here that Harvey Milk and Mayor Moscone were murdered. The area around City Hall is quite nice, ...
