Kelly's also had to relocate after the earthquake. Fortunately they found this amazing new home on the west side. It gets quite busy especially on weekends for brunch. I like to have a light breakfast there and get a picnic lunch to go to enjoy on my hike across the UCSC campus. You can certainly experience the difference in attitude for a successful independent restaurant versus a all-for-profit chain place in that they often have a line out the door yet plenty of seats available inside. Their sales process is basically limited to how quickly the cashier can write down your order and manually add up the total. This is not scalable.Recommended for:

This is a popular little place to drop in for pastries, sandwiches and even entrees. On a nice day the patio is the place to eat as seating inside is a bit limited. Be prepared to wait in a line to order, but also plan to have fun and enjoy your meal!

This is the perfect little bistro in the sunshine! With a big patio you can grab a sandwich with your friends and also go wine tasting with the 10 or 12 winery tasting rooms located on the same property.
There's strawberry rhubarb tart is amazing and mouthwatering.

Food and baked goods here are DE-LI-CIOUS. On weekends, the line is out the door, so make sure to get here early! Located on the Westside, in residential SC, Kelly's has a great outdoor patio and a quaint inside seating area for those chilly, foggy days. Try any of their tarts, cakes, bagels or sandwiches! The apple and gruyere is a favorite.
