I've stayed at Kembu on least a dozen occasions and it's great every time. It kind of feels like heading out to your grandparents farm for a weekend away from the city. It's comfortable and friendly with amiable canines, friendly staff, and a bar with a big fireplace. It is a short drive from the awesome Nakuru national park and you can even get a safari outfit to pick you up from the camp. It is situated on a working farm. While this means that you might have the opportunity to milk a cow, those who find ranch smells noxious rather than nostalgic might need to take that into consideration.Recommended for:

A very cool little campsite on a farm out about 20 minutes past Nakuru town. It is a very pleasant spot, with a communal firepit, a basic little restaurant, and a bottle shop for beers and other essentials. It is popular with overlanders, and has a helpful little book that will give you tips on things to see in the area.
The downside is that it is a bit far from Nakuru National Park, and the farm ambiance means it reeks a bit of cow patties.
Otherwise, definitely a chill spot to kick it for the night.Recommended for:
We arrived there with an overland trip and in love in this beautiful place, there is a camp site but we decide to take one of cottages, first couple days we stayed in Albizia Cottage which is big, with kitchen, two bedrooms and bathrooms, fire place and nice terrace, rooms are decorated nicely with a feeling that you're home. We have seen Mutati Cottage too which is charming too, two stories cottage with two bedrooms nicely decorated. Next cottage we stayed in was called Acacia perfect for a couple with comfy veranda and old acacia tree. They don't take credit cards, and campsite is far from any civilization if you need to be closer to city is not easy to get from there .
