This hotel has a real Only-in-Dubai kind of feeling. It's attached to Mall of the Emirates, so although it has this enormous luxurious facade, guests are more often likely to see the entrance from the mall entrance side. The mall entrance is literally sandwiched between a Virgin Mega Superstore and an advertisement for a Cheesecake Factory right now, but once inside, memories of the mall's cheap food court and chain stores fade. In the lobby there's a 24-hour upscale cafe serving cakes and tea near a water feature that falls from the lofted ceiling. The cafe in the lobby is a good place to sit and watch guests check in and out from. The rooms are opulent with plush carpet and sitting rooms, large marble bath rooms and space for extra guests to stay. The pool has a secluded space for smoking sheesha, but if guests want to smoke one pool side that's fine too. The spa is ladies only but offers a large range of treatments. I don't think you're in danger of forgetting where you are when you stay at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates because when you wake up in an opulent hotel attached to a mall in a desert with a ski slope, I think you know you must be in Dubai.

The Kempinski Hotel is a kind of its own in Dubai. The atmosphere is classy and more modern. I liked the rooms and bathrooms, but it is a shame that the view isn’t that great. From one side you can see Burj Al Arab, but the highway right next to is an eyesore. On the other side you have part the Dubai Skyline, but not the best part. The Korean restaurant Kgrill is a renowned restaurant in Dubai. A plus would be that the hotel is in the Dubai Mall of the Emirates, with 466 retail stores you should be busy for a while. Including a big Cinema with reclining chair, the Magic Planet, with all the rides and games is fun for family and kids and also the famous Ski slope in the desert. The mall also has a metro station, so transportation is not a problem.Recommended for:Family Travelers

The Kempinski was a really nice hotel. Stayed thier with my Mom and Grandmother and we had a ball. It is attached directly to the Mall of the Emirates, so that certainly makes shopping a lot easier. The staff at the hotel were very attentive and we received a nice little gift on check in. The room was medium sized, not huge, but not tiny either. There were also nice amenities like slippers in the room. The bathroom was definitely a nice touch and had everything you may have ever wanted.
