If size matters, then the Tribe’s beef burger is certainly a winner, and it scores highly on taste. The beef patty is well – grilled and the bun is quality stuff, which give their burgers classy looks and classic flavor. The tribe is a great place for a quiet meal or a date. Although I didn't sleep at this hotel (we lodged at Sweetwaters Tented Camp Lodge), we had lunch here, and the Mount Kenya Safari Club may have the best lunch buffet I've ever tasted. Not only was the food fresh and tasty, you could have a custom tossed pasta prepared and other items. There were so many salads that a vegetarian ...

A palatial hotel, with terraced levels of lounges and restaurants. It is worth checking out for sure. The pool is reasonable, but does not compare to the other high end luxury resorts in the area like Swahili beach. However, the beach here is very nice. A great white sand beach in a protected cove. The food is also delicious here. ...

A very cool little campsite on a farm out about 20 minutes past Nakuru town. It is a very pleasant spot, with a communal firepit, a basic little restaurant, and a bottle shop for beers and other essentials. It is popular with overlanders, and has a helpful little book that will give you tips on things to see in the ...

A very nice National park. I stayed one night there and we did to safaris inside the park, one in the evening , the other one in the morning. Made a lot of great pictures http://www.flickr.com/search/?ss=2&w=37007874%40N00&q=amboseli&m=text - even if we didn't see any cats. The lodging was completely decent. One of the only lodging options in the National Reserve, meaning your safaris can start a little earlier, and end a little later than those staying in adjacent areas. There are an array of permanent tented camps along the river emulating the old safari type lodging of the colonial past. The tents are quite luxurious with plumping, streaming hot showers, ...

Definitely the all-inclusive family resort in the area. A good place for those who do not leave the hotel much. Worth ducking in to check out the weaver nests around March, and also a good place to park if you are going to go snorkle the Marine Reserve.
