If size matters, then the Tribe’s beef burger is certainly a winner, and it scores highly on taste. Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

    Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

One of Kenya's most ridiculously overpriced and elite spots. Complete with a maze of hedges, a helicopter to fly up to Mount Kenya, and decorations of prizes for great white hunters of the past. The food is decent, but not worth what is costs.

A landmark spot in a small coastal town. Hemingway's is one of the places to launch a deep sea excursion from, or grab a drink after a swim through the marine park. If you venture here, definitely try the crab samosas.

A very nice National park. I stayed one night there and we did to safaris inside the park, one in the evening , the other one in the morning. Made a lot of great pictures http://www.flickr.com/search/?ss=2&w=37007874%40N00&q=amboseli&m=text - even if we didn't see any cats. The lodging was completely decent. One of the only lodging options in the National Reserve, meaning your safaris can start a little earlier, and end a little later than those staying in adjacent areas. There are an array of permanent tented camps along the river emulating the old safari type lodging of the colonial past. The tents are quite luxurious with plumping, streaming hot showers, ...

The hotel is way overpriced, but then again, so are all the big chain hotels in the CBD area. It does have a nice patio and pool out back but other than that the place feels a bit dilapidated. It is a popular place for large conferences though.

Definitely the all-inclusive family resort in the area. A good place for those who do not leave the hotel much. Worth ducking in to check out the weaver nests around March, and also a good place to park if you are going to go snorkle the Marine Reserve.
