    Governor's Camp

    Class:

Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

One of the only lodging options in the National Reserve, meaning your safaris can start a little earlier, and end a little later than those staying in adjacent areas. There are an array of permanent tented camps along the river emulating the old safari type lodging of the colonial past. The tents are quite luxurious with plumping, streaming hot showers, ...

    Nairobi Serena Hotel

    Nairobi Serena Hotel

    Class:
    2 reviews
Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

The Serena hotel is a lovely oasis in a busy city. You won't get anything close to an authentic African experience here, but if you need a good night's sleep before heading out on safari then it's a good option. When I stayed there I was disappointed by the beds - I was hoping for a soft mattress after a ...

    InterContinental Nairobi

    InterContinental Nairobi

    Class:
    3 reviews
Good! - 79% of guests recommend

The hotel is way overpriced, but then again, so are all the big chain hotels in the CBD area. It does have a nice patio and pool out back but other than that the place feels a bit dilapidated. It is a popular place for large conferences though.

    Turtle Bay Beach Club

    Class:
    2 reviews
Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

Definitely the all-inclusive family resort in the area. A good place for those who do not leave the hotel much. Worth ducking in to check out the weaver nests around March, and also a good place to park if you are going to go snorkle the Marine Reserve.

    Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

    Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

    2 reviews

If you are going to the Nakuru National park and want to sleep inside it, this place seems like the place to be, however, prepare yourself to be under-impressed. Nothing is horrible here, in fact nothing is really bad. It just feels a bit poorly put together. The food is all buffet, so it does feel a little "cattle herdy", ...

Location is gorgeous, their beach-front eating and sun-bathing area is fantastic, food is great, hosts and staff are wonderful, and rooms are beautifully decorate and kept, cool and clean. All in all a perfect stay. I think everyone else there was ...
