    Crater Lake

Moi North Lake Road, Lake Naivasha, Kenya

    1 review

An amazing place for a day hike when the flamingos are there. There is a trail around the lake which is an easy walk, a little restaurant and a small boat you can take out through the flocks of flamingos. A very cool spot.

    Governors' Mfangano Island

    Lake Victoria
    5
    1 review

Lawns hug the waterline, flowerbeds and rock gardens surround the camp. Enormous boulders sit at the water’s edge, a perch for cormorants or giant monitor lizards to sun themselves. If all you desire is to laze in the sunshine, each room has it’s own private veranda with sun beds. Or there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied. The ...

    Cin Cin Wine Bar

    Nairobi, Kenya

    1 review

It’s hard to fault Cin Cin’s ambience. It’s chic, plush and inviting – what with its lounge chairs and retro deco. Plus they have a wine cellar – yes, a real walk in wine cellar. We tried their Douglas Green Cinsault 2007. It’s great wine by all standards – fruity, full bodied and smooth.

    Turtle Hatching Tour

    Lamu Marine Conservation Trust

    1 review

This is super cool, and highly recommended if you are there around May, when the turtles hatch on Manda Island. The Lamu Conservation Trust takes tourists out to see the hatching and uses the revenue to pay people to guard the nesting site, and take counts of the population that hatches there every year. Give Famao a call to see ...

Tired of the bustle of the Lamu ally ways and smell of cats and donkeys, but still want to relax with a stiff drink and dream the day away. Manda Beach Club is your spot. Governors' Balloon Safari

Little Governors' Camp, Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

    1 review

EPIC! You awake before sunrise and watch them fill the balloon in the darkness, and then rise over the savannah with the sun. We floated right over hippos running back to the water, lions prowling through the forest, and herds of impala bounding around the plains. It was just a magical experience. It then ends with some champagne and a ...

If not the most epic waterfall in Kenya, easily one of them. There is one major waterfall at this site which you can look down over, and then there are two others crashing over cliffs in the distance. A very spectacular look out over some awesome falls.

    Kilifi Creek Coastal Walk

A stroll along the south shore of Kilifi Creek
    5
    1 review

This is just an idea for a beautiful self-guided little walk along the shoreline. You have to figure out when its low-tide, and start your walk maybe an hour or so before it, as the tide is still going out, otherwise there will not be enough exposed beach on which to walk. Start from the Mnarani Club beach, and walk ...

Palm fronds fluttering overhead. White sugary sand underfoot. The warm aquamarine water of the Indian Ocean lapping at the shore. A laid back vibe and massage shacks on the beach. Tiwi beach goes down as easy as a cold brew of Tuska Beer.

It was pouring when I was here, so most of my time was spent concentrating on getting our vehicle through, which was fun. I didn't get to enjoy the spectacular bird and primate life it is known for. I still enjoyed it. The forest was beautiful.

This was one of the few interesting historical activities we did, and it was because the women who guides you there actually has some interesting facts up her sleeve.
