Of all the small towns in Alaska that I visited, Ketchikan was probably my favorite. There's a nice balance between nature and things to do here, and it all comes together in a really pretty way. While it's not the busiest or most eventful of places, it's a great place to visit if you happen to be nearby.

This city was one of our stops along the inside passage cruise that we took. It is a cute Alaskan town with shops and restaurants typical of this region. The port is one of the best in Alaska in terms of amenities for the tourists. Walked around the entire area including the residential neighborhoods.

Outside of Skagway Ketchikan was my other favorite place. The town center is a little bigger than most of the other places that I visited on my Alaska trip and had a wider selection of places to eat. If I had to live along Alaska's Inside Passage. I would most likely choose Ketchikan.
