Even when I visited in winter, when Kew's star is at its dimmest, I could immediately see the magnificence of the place. Sprawling, beautifully manicured, holding tropical treasures in its greenhouse: a thoroughly lovely botanical garden, and a lovely contrast to the congestion of nearby London.Recommended for:

We went to Kew last summer during a bit of strange weather in London and it was nice to be able to enjoy the lush surroundings. We ended up taking shelter in one of the glass houses after a freak supercell dropped ping pong ball sized hail. The food in the cafe was quite good and the "train" ride was great for quickly seeing areas of the gardens that were too far to walk quickly. My only regret was not having enough time to see it all. My wife and daughter just went back a few weeks ago and were able to enjoy some things that couldn't be seen previously. Highly recommended if you have kids.Recommended for:

The gardens are spectactular. .Have your walking shoes on because it will take a day to walk through and have a lunch for a break . There are beautful flowers of all kinds and exhibits just amazing to look at. The aromas of the flowers are so diverse and look spectactular.Well worth the time to relax.

Very large (especially for a city so tight on space) botanical gardens in the south of London. Lovely exhibits across multiple themed areas and buildings displaying the wonders of the floral kingdom. Even plant ignoramouses (of which I am one) will be at least a little impressed. Only underwhelming bit in my view is the the treetop walkway, which is maybe not set amongst dense-enough trees, in my opinion. Nice half-day excursion.
