One of the better tourist restaurants we encountered on the trip. Our order of Khmer Curry was mildly spicy and sweet, chock-full of sweet potato, pumpkin and chicken chunks. In contrast, the seafood soup, with it's lemongrass and galangal soup base, was reminiscent of Thai Tom Yum Soup, while the highly recommended pumpkin cheese bake was a 'interesting' fusion dish. The friendly service made up for the fact that they turned the spices and heat way down for travellers. But to be fair, it's near impossible to find authentic Khmer food in the touristy Pub Street area, unless you are willing to brave those hole-in-the-wall stalls in the Old Market.Recommended for:Foodies

Khmer Kitchen is just off of pub street in Siem Reap and has some great food! The pumpkin oven bake with cheese was excellent, and the tofu curry was yummy too. Go here for great Khmer cuisine!

If your looking for a place to try Cambodian food and you want to be around Pub Street, Khmer Kitchen is a good choice. The mango salad and the banana leaf salad is very good, but the best dish is the sweet potato bake. Khmer sweet potato with pork and mushrooms, carrot and onion baked like a casserole is the best dish on the menu.
