Came here on the recommendation of a friend. Ordered the ono fish burrito and some poke. Both were good, and better than what you can get back on the mainland, but I don't think I was blown away.
Still a good spot when you're in the mood for some fresh seafood and a casual spot. I think our expectations were just set too high since the friend had raved that it was her hubby's favorite meal on their whole trip.Recommended for:

Tucked away in the Coconut Marketplace in Kappa, this lil restaurant has amazing fish wraps. (my fav: the ahi tuna wrap!) What we like: you can bring your own beer or wine and they'll provide the glasses. It's deli style but you can meet some really friendly people in here as well.Recommended for:

This is the perfect place to get a picnic takeout lunch or an easy dinner to take back to your condo and eat while you watch the sunset. Coriena Rogers not only has healthy, yummy meals made with just-caught fish, but she also has a deli section with fresh fish for those looking to cook it themselves. Located just off the road to the Kilauea Lighthouse, this tiny hole in the wall has a few tables outside in a garden setting, but generally people pick up and go. Vegetarians will be happy with the daily specials. She has options of brown or white rice and insists on using organic greens in her salads. These are some of the best prices on the North Shore. Less

Love this place. Whenever I go to Hawaii I look for places like this. Simple, fresh fish in a casual setting / to go offering. In my opinion food in general in Hawaii is overpriced and not good. Not here. This is the real deal, something I cannot get elsewhere - Go here.

Amazing tuna poke. Just get a ton of it and eat it out of the container. The fish tacos were also awesome, but so full they were hard to eat. Not the worst complaint, I suppose. We didn't know in advance, but this place is BYOB, which is awesome.
