Clean, modern, and luxurious with generous accommodations for a boutique option. It's new to Austin, but has been the talk of the town. It may be a little too trendy for some, they don't accept children under the age of 15. They worked very hard to make everything as energy efficient and sleek as possible. They offer a breakfast in the morning featuring local-prepared food, and specialty beverages throughout the day. As well, you feel more like you're renting a house with all the living areas, and you're given a keyless entry code, park in the driveway and don't deal with checking in or out. This is a very fun and hip place to stay while enjoying your time in Austin, particularly South Congress.

Walking up the stairs of this chic boutique hotel, located just one block away from bustling South Congress Avenue, is like being swallowed up by the structure itself. Or more like slipping on an invisibility cloak. And that’s what Kimber Modern’s innovative concept of invisible service allows guests to feel like throughout their entire stay—like they are completely cloaked from the inner city stresses that lie outside. Guests pull into what feels like their own driveway, type in a preset pass code and throw their things down in a room with every luxury known to modern man. All without speaking to or seeing a single person. Everthing is simply taken of already. Including a full range of luxury personal amenities—or what owners Kimber Cavendish and Vicki Faust consider “necessities”—like complimentary wifi throughout the entire hotel, Malin and Goetz bath products, Happy D freestanding bathtubs in the suites, a virtual concierge (complete with desktop, printer, copier and scanner) and a “super automated” coffee system by Franke Flair in the common area, featuring specialty coffee drinks with the press of a button at any time of day.
