Great shops and restaurants here as well as free local musicians performing Hawaiian style music with ukulele or slack key guitar. Be sure to visit Mary Jane's Boutique, very fun and great stuff (jewelry, purses, bling, etc.) for the ladies. Restaurants located here are Merriman's Cafe, Three Fat Pigs (the second restaurant opened recently by Ippy from Next Food Network Star), Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine and Island Fish and Chips which is a hole in the wall with outdoor seating only and super good fish and chips made with fresh ono or mahi mahi. Located approximately 10 minutes from our studio.

There are two shopping areas, the Kings Shops and the Queens' Shops, located in the lower part of Waikoloa just near to the resorts by the ocean. They have nice shops but everything is very pricy. Not the be place for dining either, very limited selection either super expensive or food court style.

Nice outdoor shopping area with some fancy brands like Louis Vuitton. There's a Macy's here as well. Merriman's Market Cafe (a casual version of Merriman's) is worth a try if you don't want to shell out bigger bucks or don't want to drive to Waimea.
Head to Queens' Marketplace if you want more places to see or eateries that are a bit less fancy.
