the only place where you can get boysenberry as it was invented by mr knotts years ago before it was a theme park. the rides are fun but make sure you get the boysenberry ice cream in between. you will get wet a bit so its best to go its a hotter day but there are train and easy rides if not into the thrill type as the higher and faster the better. when done don't forget to stop off at the restaurant as the chicken is good but get the boysenberry juice, jam and of course the pie, sometimes if im passing by on the 5 i just go to the restaurant for a quick boysenberry fix.Recommended for:

Knott's Berry Farm itself is a very entertaining venue, one I would recommend to tourists and locals alike. The rides are thrilling, the lines aren't ridiculously long, and it's close to my mom's house, so I like it a lot. However, it is lacking in a lot o areas: not enough trees (shade), no shows really, and it's hard to find picture opportunities with Snoopy and other characters. It lacks the magic of Disneyland and the special effects of Universal Studios, but what it does lack in either, it makes up in good rides. Some of them are too thrilling in my opinion, but if you like the upside-down, corkscrew, backward types rides this is a good place to go for it.
On a hot, sunny day, it's not too good to go since shade is lacking here and on non-busy days not all their rides are open., but parking is easy and it's cheaper than the other parks (if you could find a nice coupon deal), so it's well worth the money you spend on a ticket. If you have the time and money to go, it's worth a trip. Prepare to be exhausted by the end of the day though!Recommended for:

A great theme park for teenagers and adults. There are a few large roller coasters and good old theme park shopping. They are known for their jams and the delicious funnel cakes. Also a great place to visit during the holidays, especially for "Knotts Scary Farm" during the Halloween season.Recommended for:

Great rides.....better than Disneyland for older kids AND MUCH cheaper than Disney! We purchased the annual passes because it is worth it to return for what it costs and you can add the Knotts Soak City annual pass for about $23 which is less than one single visit! When you go during the week, there are short lines which makes it all the more enjoyable!!

Who: Any member of the family, geared towards older kids
What: an amusement park filled with roller coasters
Where: 8039 Beach Blvd. Buena Park
Why: Older kids love the rides and there is Camp Snoopy for the little ones
The “OO” (Owner's Opinion): We have 3 small kids so we enjoy Camp Snoopy. Our kids love to go on the log ride and Joe Cool’s Gr8 Sk8. Our favorite “adult” ride is xcelerator… talk about an intense ride. The kids like to finish the day with chicken strips from Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant (known for its chicken).

One word: Boomerang. This roller coaster is the best thing about Knott's Berry Farm. It draws you up, lets you go, send you on two loop-dee-loops, then does the whole thing backwards. Terror in under a minute, guaranteed. Other than that, I wish they had more rides like this - it really is more of a little kid's park. But the Sidewinder is also fun, as is the Silver Bullet.Recommended for:

Knott's Berry Farm is the great cheaper alternative to Disneyland. While it doesn't evoke nostalgia like Disneyland, the rides are bigger and faster and the lines are shorter! Not to mention they have funnel cake.Recommended for:

Knotts is great, like a smaller version of Disneyland. Great for kids and teens. Camp snoopy is made specially for the little ones.
Parking is paid parking through out the different parking lots. Looks for there specials, SoCal residents receive further discounts.Recommended for:

Knott's is a great compromise theme park. If you have little kids they have a great kid area. If you are someone who would rather be going to Magic Mountain you are also in luck, they have a handful of fun roller coasters. The other great thing about Knott's is that it is way cheaper than Disneyland.Recommended for:

With over 165 rides, shows and attractions, Knott’s Berry Farm is _the _place to go for family fun! With five themed areas, there is something at Knott’s for everyone. Soar over 300ft in the air on the all new *WindSeeker, *feel the thrill on *Silver Bullet*, the park’s first-ever suspended coaster, or *Sierra Sidewinder* the spinning coaster that offers a panoramic view. Experience *Pony Express – The Ride*, delivering a horseback relay at speeds never imagined in the Old West. For something different, detour to the Park’s *Old West Ghost Town®* or visit *Camp Snoopy*, home of the PEANUTS gang and filled with dozens of kid-sized adventures.Recommended for:

Doesn't have the MAGIC of Disneyland, but a fun Western theme. It is definitely a fun place for thrill seekers, since they have a few crazy rollercoaster way beyond what Disneyland offers, but they also have Camp Snoopy for the little ones. Quite a bit cheaper than Disneyland, so worth checking out.

Knott's Berry Farm used to be literally that: a roadside stand selling berries. They invented the boisenberry here, so you should try the boisenberry treats. The park itself is mostly like it was years ago, and not on par with nearby Disneyland. It's cheaper and still fun, though.

The rides are scarier than you think because you don't hear the hype about it! There is also a lot of kid rides and a fried chicken restaurant called Mrs. Knott's right outside the theme park. You need to try it. It's great! The chicken and dumplings are delicious as well. The servers are all grandmas! It's awesome.Recommended for:
