    Lloyd Center Mall

    0.15 mi from Koji Osakaya
    15 reviews

It's a bit of a long drive, but I love the lively atmosphere here. There are plenty of stores, many food options, a movie theater, and of course, a ground level ice rink. I can't skate to save my life, but it's fun to watch nevertheless!

    Swift Lounge

Cocktails are a bit pricey but they come in a huge Mason jar. This place can get pretty crowded, even on a weekday, so be prepared for that around happy hour.

    Aztec Willie

    0.06 mi from Koji Osakaya
    1 review

Aztec Willie is one of the main places to go salsa dancing in Portland. The dance floor is large enough to accommodate a substantial amount of swinging hipped dancers. The music is a mix of reggaeton, salsa, merengue, and bachata. They also offer salsa lessons too.

Pretty famous local skate park. You'll see this place in many video games etc. Quite lively at all times of the day as a lot of people go here all of the time.

    Rose Garden Arena

    0.83 mi from Koji Osakaya
    11 reviews

Portland's giant arena is beautiful, well-designed, and makes every effort to maximize audience experience no matter what seats you can afford. Parking is convenient and cheap (relative to many California arenas, that is), and though the food is expensive, at least it's good. This is one of my favorite indoor places on the West Coast to see a major act.

    Laurelhurst Theatre

    0.97 mi from Koji Osakaya
    3 reviews

I have enjoyed innumerable films at the Laurelhurst from newish movies like Pulp Fiction to Conan the Barbarian and Caddyshack II, all with a pitcher of stout and slice of cheese pizza. The theater is a classic but basic beauty, adorned with classic movie posters and the seating is awesome, especially if you can get into a row with a ...

    Wonder Ballroom

    0.79 mi from Koji Osakaya
    3 reviews

Wonder Ballroom is a concert hall located in the Northeast section of Portland. I've seen the Smashing Pumpkins and Manchester Orchestra (an up and coming band from Atlanta, Georgia) perform live. The sound could be better (I could barely hear the singer's lyrics), but the raucous audience don't seem to mind. One complaint. If you're paying tickets at the box ...

    Oregon Convention Center

    0.69 mi from Koji Osakaya

I attended a Convention here last week and had a nice time with professional friends, various presentations and exhibits, and the roomy, well-lit, and eco-friendly facilities. The OCC did a good job of accommodating our needs and welcoming us to the Rose City. It's also a big plus that the facility is close to Downtown and TriMet accessible. That led ...

    Sandy Hut

    0.72 mi from Koji Osakaya

Some serious elbow bending is done here. This windowless, free standing structure is designed to keep the chaos in and the temperance out. Drinks are strong and cheap, and the bartenders are down to earth and friendly. Two pool tables and a few video games provide low key distractions, and some booths provide comfort. Like all Portland bars, hot and ...

    The Circuit Bouldering Gym NE

    0.56 mi from Koji Osakaya
    1 review

Portland is such an active outdoorsy place, it's no surprise that locals love to go bouldering. An excellent, newer, enhanced version of the original bouldering Circuit Gym, which is based in the SW of Portland. There are more walls and problems to climb. Due to the new facility, it can get crowded so you might have to wait before you ...

This is where you will find the Blaze playing a mighty fine basketball game at Modacenter stadium. It is only minutes away from downtown which can be easy access with local transportation such as the light rails, buses, or even dare to walk. Here you'll find half of the people watching a live game and having a good time. Make ...

Great things do come in small packages, as confirmed by this low-key hole-in-the-wall bar. A chalkboard displays a wine selection that changes daily, though the gregarious owner, Amalie Roberts, professes a passion for rosés—10 are regularly available by the glass. While Paris was one source of inspiration, Kir also tips a hat to nearby Willamette Valley, stocking local crowd-pleasers like ...

Some might think that the Eastbank Esplanade is the poor sister to it's Willamette-side sister across the river. Others might not even know it's here to be enjoyed. And when you throw in a Steel and Hawthorne Bridge crossing, this is one fine loop to people watch, admire local arts, watch cherry trees in seasonal bloom, enjoy the views, and ...

I never tried Muay Thai kickboxing before, and I thought it was really fun and enjoyable. It's a solid workout as well. The instructor was effective and reassuring in making me comfortable throw swings and punches. There are definitely more kicks and swings in Muay Thai, but the instructor was helpful in guiding me along with the other participants.

This is Justin Machus's second Brick & Mortar Store. My first experience with his retailing skills was Local35 (on SE Hawthorne) which opened in 2003 and closed in 2011 after a successful 8 year run. So maybe this is the next step in this particular retailer's evolution. The current Machus was founded with a focus of bringing modern yet classic ...
