Iron Chef Cat Cora’s Mediterranean restaurant opened in 2009 on Disney’s BoardWalk and has become one of the hottest reservations on the Disney property for both park guests and locals. Dishes inspired by her family’s recipes include the saganaki, a Greek cheese with lemon and oregano, flamed to a golden brown tableside; the pasticio (Greek lasagna); and traditional whole fish. Save room for the loukoumades, Greek donuts drizzled with honey and cinnamon.Recommended for:Family Travelers

My husband, young son & I would stop at Kouzzina for breakfast before going to Epcot during our trip most mornings. We both would get the poached eggs with olive toast breakfast and it is truly delicious. Our son would eat a bowl of fresh berries, which they made for him (not on the menu). They were very accommodating. Also, their Bloody Mary's are really good.

Kouzzina, even with shiny Iron Chef Cat Cora name plate, is still just another average Disney restaurants. Don't get me wrong. Disney dining are almost always enjoyable. Their warm and welcoming atmosphere, fun and playful themed decor and enthusiastic service are hard to match. I have no problem paying more for these extras. It is just that I believe Kouzzina could deliver better food. Especially when there's an Iron Chef name tag in there.
Greek cuisine. One of my new found love. I adore olives, yogurt and the essence of aubergine. My favorite dish of the night was the calamari appetizer. The yogurt dipping sauce was sinfully addicting - subtle with lingering sweetness and a hint of spiciness. The calamari were fried to perfection. Lightly battered, crispy and not oily at all. It was a wonderful dish. Fisherman's Stew was decent. The flavors were rich and not overwhelming.
The rest of the dishes were rather mediocre. Avgolemono tasted a bit too sour. The flavors were monotonic. It could use some more herbs and spice. The Lamb Shank had good texture but the sauce really wasn't that I have had. It was rich but too salty and lacked balance.
The Baklava was horrible. The filo shell was hard to bite on. It was not crispy and flaky as it should. The fillings were really dry and not sticky. Definitely been chilled for too long.
Sorry. This is not a foodie approved Disney resort restaurant.
