Members of Congress pay double at Kramerbooks, a DC institution and Gogobot favorite. Everyone else gets happy hour specials till close.

One of my fave locales in Dupont Circle. How can you go wrong in a bookstore that has both food and booze, and where you aren't shunned for reading at a bar? The cakes are awesome; there are always specials that aren't listed on the menu, so go ahead, be adventurous - they'll all be delicious! If you have dinner elsewhere, you can rely on the cafe to be open for a later dessert.

Fun bookstore that also has a cafe. Find a book you want to buy and then grab a coffee. Kramer's also does a very good weekend brunch.

Fantastic collection of contemporary and up and coming artists. A large, fun group of children's books, travel guides, and area art guides. A dozen or so craft beers from local breweries and simply the best triple chocolate cake ever made! Good people watching right off of DuPont Circle and very helpful wait staff. Two beers and the chocolate desert were less than $20 and a bargain.

Browines and coffee at 2am? Yes. If there are two things in life I love, they are reading and eating. This place offers both. This is where I really felt the "vibe" of D.C. People in three piece suits eating dessert in the late night while others just chilled on the porch with their books. Awesome atmosphere.

Have you ever wanted to combine your love of books with your love of beer? Kramerbooks makes casual dining and loving literacy easy. Located in a hip neighborhood, it's a great spot to rest after a long day of exploring. Grab a pint, a pasta dish and a book, and your evening is set.

I stayed up in Dupont Circle once for a conference this great little bookstore was on my way into town. It's been years since I was there and I was only there for a week but I remember this place. It had a great vibe and from what I remember it had some great deserts too!

I've had some of the best pies here. I would specifically recommend trying their peach cobbler pie. It is absolutely delicious. Kramer's is also a mix of cafe, restaurant, and a bookstore with a cool selection of books. I've also had other food items in their cafe and restaurant, and the dishes were yummy too.

The selection of books is better than the quality of the food but combine the two and you have a place I really like.

Go here for brunch. You will not regret it. The bookstore is also great with meaningful curation from the staff on books they recommend.

It definitely helps to have a bookstore attached to your restaurant or restaurant attached to your bookstore depending on how you look at it. Kramers has really good food and a nice brunch on weekends. Waiting for a table can take a little time, but the bookstore helps keep boredom at bay. Try to get a seat on the patio though because the upstairs seating has a low ceiling and can feel a little claustrophobic.

This is a very pleasant little book store/bar/restaurant combo place! It's small but has a lot packed into it. It nearly always has a good amount of people either in it, or flowing in & out of it. What a great combination of floor-to-ceiling book store & cozy bar, with a restaurant out the back that has some absolutely delicious food!! I had the Cubano sandwich & it was to die for! Stop by if you are in the Dupont Circle area!

Excellent service and atmosphere but good is so-so for the price. Great fried mushrooms though.

Cool bookstore in Dupont Circle. I haven't actually eaten here, though.
