Costa Rica is well known for being home to several expansive and lively tropical forest reserves. Various rare flora and fauna abound here in amazing variety. One specific class of creature that has achieved astounding variation in Costa Rica are birds, and La Amistad National Park is perhaps the best place to see them. Of the over 800 variety's of distinct bird species in Costa Rica, 500 of them can be found here at La Amistad National Park. If you are a bird watcher, Costa Rica, and this specific attraction, are where you are going to want to be. Even for those less excited about birds, there are lots of other animals and scenic points at this and the other national forests that cover 25% of this growing nation.
