Great spot. High ceilings and bug windows. We came for lunch and it was fantastic. Had thin crust Italian style pizzas - one with butternut squash, arugula and prosciutto that was amazing. The beet carpaccio with blue cheese was also delicious, as was the soup of celery and green apple. No kids menu but they liked the pizzas.

The wife and I chose La Bicyclette for lunch. We were not disappointed! The pizzas were incredibly tasty.
The atmosphere was cozy, nice music playing and the drinks were served on little trays with a little note about the history of French Cafes. I definitely recommend this place , even though they have some room for improvements in their service.Recommended for:History Buffs

I came into this restaurant a little confused since it's advertised as a French restaurant with an Italian flag outside. As we were seated, I noticed the French flag inside of the other side of the restaurant...so, I'm guessing it's a French and Italian restaurant?
As I was getting seating, it still seem quite busy for a Sunday night. I would definitely recommend making reservation ahead of time because I saw them turning a couple of parties away.
My order for the night:
-Butternut Squash Pizza (Sage-Gruyere-Speck Ham-Arugula-Butternut Squash Puree), $15
This is one of their most popular dish in the restaurant and I would say it's the healthier choice of the selections since there's no marinara sauce. What it does have are all the other ingredients listed above. I would describe this dish, light and crisp.
-Wood Fired Escargot (Hazelnut & Garlic), $10
The star of the night was my escargot dish! It was covered with butter and sizzling with Hazelnut, a must get if you dare!
-Sweet Potato Sformato with crispy prosciutto & truffle pecorino:
This was the appetizer that came with the fixed menu for the night...it came with a salad and a green potato mix. The mix had goat cheese in it that almost made me gag with my first bite. I can't eat goat cheese and I specifically asked the waiter if there's any goat cheese blended in my food...I almost got poisoned! Needless to say, the dish was pretty much untouched and the waiter did not seem to notice or care.
-Roasted Sunchoke Soup
This was also an appetizer that came with the fixed menu. It's a blended soup with an unappetizing presentation (light brown), except the yellow metal pot. But the broth itself was delicious!!! It tasted earthy and a good balance of flavors mixed within.
-Nante Carrot Risotto (truffle marinated artichokes)
This is another great dish for anyone that's a lover of goat cheese. This dish only gives a hint of it and even with the slightest hint, I can taste it! Boy did I order all the wrong things tonight! I barely took a bite because the dish was so creamy with goat cheese. It's really a shame I couldn't eat this well created risotto....oh well!
-Prime Chateau Steak (melted leeks, marble potatoes & gorgonzola dulce)
Perfectly cooked with the sweet reduction below, yum!
Worst bread pudding I ever tasted! There was no pudding unless you call the goo that my rock hard bread was swimming on top pudding?! No, thank you! The only thing that was good about this dish was the praline ice cream that was on top of the dish and even with two bites, the ice cream was gone!
Overall, this restaurant had a lot of misses for me and it's not just because of the goat cheese accidents. I wasn't wowed by most of the dishes. It felt boring and none of the dishes tickled my taste buds for more. I also thought the service was good, but not professional. This is a nice restaurant, but the servers all seemed like college kids ready to go shopping or skate boarding. If I'm paying more than $50 a person, I expect a little bit more professionalism in my dining experience. Am at a cafe or am I at fancy restaurant?
Last, but not least....parking is simple with plenty of street parking.
