Well I finally needed to do a review for this place. I know that some people love it and some hate it. I think it is about average. However it is a twist on your typical Mexican faire as it is truely TexMex.
I think that it is a bit pricy for what you get... Some of the food is not super flavorful. For example the tacos are decent but without salsa they lack flavor. Once you add in a bit of the salsa they do get better. I will say the handmade flour tortillas are very yum.
I also got a tamale and it was very tasty. It was served wet with a red sauce and cheese. I definitely enjoyed it, but it was 1/3 or 1/4 the size of a traditional tamale and it was seemingly a bit pricier than I had anticipated it would be.
Pro Tip: The specials are the regular prices that are listed in the menu. Why are they specials, I cant quite figure that part out.
This is a sit down waiter service restaurant. However you pay at the register and it seems like you get served at the front and put in your order there like a baja fresh or wahoos style joint. That is not the case here, unless you are getting something to go I suppose. I was totally confuzzled on that point.
The owner and waitress are very nice courteous and willing to give you any info. However half the menu appears to be written in chalk at the front and I didnt think that all of it was listed on the one page menu.
They do serve breakfast at least through lunch as well. So there you have the good the bad and the tasteless...
