An excellent spa and "wellness retreat", where you will experience the ultimate pampering. Similarly to other health-oriented spa facilities, the spa at La Costa allows guests customize their programs, insuring that each person who visits gets exactly what he or she is seeking.

The La Costa resort and spa is the site of the tennis open. The tennis open is sponsored by big names such as; Emirates, American Express. Expect to pay $5 for a bottle of water and $8 for a chicken sandwich during the tennis open. The bleachers were not sold out making the atmosphere not as great as other sporting events.

I had a great time at this resort! They have so many great pools and activities to do on site, it was amazingly relaxing. I live in this area and just being in the resort made me feel like I was in a different place. A great spot for a staycation. Don't be afraid to go down those water slides.. they're not just for kids and they're super fun! haha.. I'm such a kid!Recommended for:

We found Lo Costa to be very disappointing. Relative to what you pay, the quality of service is not very good. Simple room service orders take forever (e.g., we ordered cookies/milk for our kids and, after 90 minutes, we had to cancel it because our kids fell asleep!), they forgot to valet our car one day, etc. Ultimately, the big problem is that the place is over-crowded and they are not staffed appropriately to handle the volume of people. In addition, the pool is a total zoo and if you are not down there early in the morning, you will have a very hard time finding a place to sit (particularly if you have multiple kids). The Aviara (right around the corner) has similar pricing but is much smaller and the quality of service is far superior. We will go there next year!Recommended for:
