The creep has a crepe at La Creperie Cafe
*ACHTUNG ACHTUNG* Date Spot Alert! Date Spot Alert!
That's just what La Creperie Cafe is - a perfect date spot, whether it be with your friends, significant other or potential significant other ;p
We had a nice lunch nearby, deciding upon a postmeal stroll down the street to check out the sights and, perhaps, venture into any businesses that captured our attention. Lo and behold, La Creperie Cafe magically appeared before our very eyes, beckoning us inside it's cacophony of savory & sweet.
Impressive! Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, sofas adjacent to a piano, extravagant mirrors on the walls. All of it creating ambience with a capital A!. Bohemian, anyone?
Perusing the menu, we decided we needed something sweet.
Enter, the Tiramisu crepe-
Tiramisu wrapped inside a sweet crepe, topped with creme anglaise, chocolate powder and vanilla ice cream. I loved this! Not too sweet, which is excellent. Sometimes, desserts are too sweet for my particular taste. The tiramisu crepe is enough to share for 2. The ice cream had the starring role, with the tiramisu playing the love interest, the creme anglaise the supporting actor and the chocolate powder the grip.
Service was excellent. Our waters were refilled in a timely manner and we didn't have to wait too long for our crepe to arrive.
I was told live jazz music happens nightly, which would make such a cool vibe. Chillaxing to jazz, eating a crepe, and hanging out for God knows how long.
Parking is metered in the front and free in the residential areas. Make sure to keep abreast of all parking signs, you know, so your whip doesn't get towed.
Check La Creperie Cafe out already, you won't regret it!

LOVE THIS PLACE! It's unfortunately quite a drive from Anaheim, but if you are planning to visit the Long Beach Aquarium or Queen Mary, you might want to stop along the way and eat here - if you like crepes as much as I do! The restaurant is located in Belmont Shores or also called "2nd Street", a really cute neighborhood of Long Beach with beautiful homes and lots of great little stores and restaurants. In my opinion La Creperie has it all: fun/very eclectic decor, an amazing menu of both sweet and savory crepes (+ their garlic fries are super yummy!), a great bar, live music and just a fun vibe. Drawbacks are: The place gets really busy on weekends and parking can be challenging in this area... Otherwise a great place that even the pickiest of children will find something to eat at. Most entree crepes run between $10-$15.Recommended for:Family Travelers

La Creperie is located in downtown Long Beach. When you enter the place, there's a bar to your left. The dining area is designed with a french feel to it. came here for the sweet crepes and ordered the tiramisu crepe which was very delicious. I will definitely come back to try their breakfast and savory crepes.

Pretty good place to come if you're in the mood for crepes! They've got a selection of savory and sweet and I opted for one of each! The savory ones are drenched in cheese, so if you're not into that, you might want to try something else (like a sandwich). It was rich and flavorful, but I couldn't eat more than half before getting overwhelmed. If you're not too hungry these would be great for sharing.
Their dessert crepes in a nice variety and you can get ones with fruit or ice cream (or both!). They're a nice contrast to the savory food.

This is such a great find in Long Beach. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, fancy mirrors, and nice paintings of France. It kind of has a Moulin Rouge theme to it. The crepes are amazing! The carbonara crepe is full of chicken breast and bacon and topped with garlic parmesan and pesto sauce. The chicken was a little dry, but the flavors really went well together. The salmon was also delicious. On the sweet side, I would highly recommend the Napoleon, which comes with strawberries and custard with a bruleed crepe on the outside. You can get it with ice cream on top too. The staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations, but everything took a little longer than usual (getting the food, getting the check, etc.) and they were not attentive to refilling drinks even after they said they would bring a new one.

Nice place, high ceilings and beautiful wall murals. The crepes are excellent, the carbonara (savory) crepe is especially good. As for dessert crepes, the Napoleon is fantastic (get it with ice cream.)

We were starving after leaving Agaves and found our way at La Creperie Cafe for dinner. My friends treated me to birthday dinner with crepes! EXCELLENT. I had the French Riviera crepe which had artichokes, garlic, chicken, mozzarella, and tomatoes in a cream sauce. It was heavenly. We also shared garlic fries which were crispy and reeked of garlic (in a good way). The wine is 50% off bottles on Monday and Tuesdays. If you ever get the chance order the Red Velvet crepe! It's so delicious! All of us were really happy with our meals. Thanks La Creperie for accommodating our large group!
