LA Fashion District

A1175, 110 E 9th St, Los Angeles, California
6 reviews

Most of the stuff in the L.A. Fashion District, also known as the Garment District, isn't the most "fashionable" or high quality, but sometimes you can find a gem. It's especially great for formal wear or bridesmaid dresses, though. Make sure to bargain down your price when you buy multiples!

One of my favorite places to hang out at. The rooftop is really cool. There's a neat mix of people here. If you're a guest then you can go to the rooftop without paying to get in. The rooms are nice and spacious. Great place to hangout with friends. It's hip to be cool or something. Check out the Standard ...

MOVIE SPOT! You'll recognize their ballroom/meeting room facilities from many films with banquet or awards balls scenes, including THE SOLOIST (starring Robert Downey Jr. and Katherine Keener and Jamie Foxx). The rooms here are small and not very newly renovated, for the price. But, the atmosphere downstairs in the bar area is cool for a drink.

Great hotel for a black tie event. Last night Hugh Jackman presented an award to Paul Hogan. I call this collage "Aussie beef and dessert" (Jackman could be either entree or a sweet to wrap up a meal)

I really love this boutique hotel located in the heart of Downtown LA. It was recently renovated and has an urban chic feel. It is clean, modern but not so modern that it feels impersonal. The restaurant/bar is full of trendsters but very cool with an easy feel. I can't wait to go back!

The shiny lobby, bathed in white with orange accents and bright starburst light fixtures, is a hip and cool spot downtown for 20-somethings. Fabulous floral wall treatments and furry touches greet you after passing the café style sidewalk seating. Climb a flight to the elevator to reach the hotel/hostel’s floors with cute rooms (twins or a queen), outfitted with a ...

I had always heard about how nice the Athletic Club was. But originally it was open to members only. In fact at one point it was an upscale apartment building that Charlie Chapman called home. This year they are celebrating their 100th anniversary and are open to non members visiting Los Angeles. Walking into the lobby today you feel the ...

Located smack in the middle of downtown LA, this hotel is central to everything from the convention center to the music center. It’s also attached to a shopping mall anchored by Macy’s. Tourists expect to find shopping downtown and outside of a spattering of boutiques and galleries, there are not a lot of options. On entering the large lobby, guest ...

This is a short-stay, business hotel. I can't really imagine it any other way. A bit stuffy, a bit classy, and a bit sterile-- I guess I'm not their target demographic. Hey, that's cool; I'm sure they'd agree. As usual the Hilton offers standard elegance. There's a bar in the lobby with an adjoining outdoor patio space, which would be ...

Not to be confused with the J.W. Located in the financial district, this place caters to business clientele so weekends are more availabe. The entire space is ...

I think this is a nice hotel. It's got class, it's got well maintained lobby, amenities, rooms, etc. The staff are nice especially since when I stayed here I was literally just a kid. Even before you walk inside this hotel, you get a sense for its history. The sign outside states that it was built in 1927, and the architecture is impressive, so much so that’s on the National Register. What’s even cooler is that it used to be the go-to hotel for folks visiting Paramount Pictures, just down the street. Unfortunately, they ...

You're walking distance from a lot of the cool spots in Echo Park on Sunset and a short drive away from Silverlake and downtown without being in the thick of it. Economy Inn's best feature is its location. You're walking distance from the Hollywood/Western Metro station and just a few bus stops away from all the cool shops and cafes of Los Feliz and Silverlake. There is a parking lot with free parking.
