Wine paired with cheese and chocolate is almost as good as wine with steak =] The Flaming Tortoise was my favorite. Ambience was a little too dim for my liking but an overall fun dining experience. Don't lose your dipper in the fondue or else you owe someone at the table a kiss or the next round of drinks haha

Bring that special someone to Plumed Horse for the chef's tasting menu - they will know exactly how special you are in their eyes. And the Chef's Table is the way to go when you dine here. The restaurant was beautiful set on 4 tables with about 40 diners, many of whom knew each other from past events. We sat with Khin Khin, the Chef's beautiful Burmese wife, who occasionally helps out in the front room and back office, being a CPA by training and profession prior to this restaurant. There was a mixing hour with a ...

I thought I wrote a review for this already ... I am a fan of this place. I love their appetizer which was the Littleneck Clams but they have taken that off the menu. I swear it was the best clams I ever had. We also order their special of the night which was Dungeness Crab Pasta which was a ...

When coming to Hachi Ju Hachi, one must try omakase for a truly unique Japanese food experience. Chef Suzuki will greet you at your table with a warm welcome smile and outline how everything is prepared as we try one dishes at a time. This dining experience could last for about 2-3 hours depending on how much you could eat. ...

Yolatea is a frozen yogurt/boba milk tea place in DT Saratoga. The people working here are really great, and were more then willing to provide recommendations and advice on what to get. I only tried the milk tea so that's all I can review. I bought the taro almond milk tea with a mix of boba and mango jelly. Overall ...

Now THIS is upscale, authentic Mexican food! Prices are on the steep side, so this is definitely not your typical taqueria. If you like pork you must get the Cochinita Noble. Super tender and flavorful chile marinated pork. It is truly the most delicious slow roasted pork you'll ever taste! Margaritas are some of the best I've ever had - ...

This is delicious Thai food for decent prices (by Bay Area standards) in the heart of Saratoga's quaint downtown. This restaurant has been under the same ownership and in the same spot for decades and is a real local staple. The tofu pad thai is delicious - but be warned that "medium" spicy is, for delicate American taste buds, actually ...

The wooden styling and pretty balcony make this coffee shop in Saratoga's historic downtown strip a great choice. They also sell bagels, sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, and pastries. Sip tea while listening to live music most Thursdays and Sundays.

What a perfect location to open an Asian fusion restaurant on Saratoga. I have this thing for Asian fusion food and I have to say this is one of my favorite place. I love this place. Just about everything about it. The patio is great, but I'd like to see more comfortable seating. It's completely enclosed so you'll never get cold or wet. the somelliere is really fun and knows her wines. The wine bar is gorgeous. The Mediterranean food is really delicious. And the live music on the weekends is GREAT. ...

I have to say, this is my favorite lunch restaurant in Saratoga. They have an incredible variety and it's always fresh and delicious. They're a little higher in price than a couple of other places, but just by a couple of dollars and the quality makes up for the difference in price. Recently they added Greek food to the menu ...

It's lovely and all, but ... I don't know ... I wasn't blown away. Maybe because I grew up 2 blocks from the Japanese Tea Garden in SF and went there often (back when it was free). I wanted to sit down and have some green tea and arare served by kimono-clad women.

Authentic to a point that is almost a bit too traditional. Soong Soong is the kind of restaurant I could rely on when I crave for some homey Chinese food. Ethiopian food sounds interesting. Ye beg tibs is their lamb dish which was very tasty... juicy sort of fajita like dish that has left the meat tender and just spicy enough shy of hot. You should try the ethiopian tea to wash it all down with. It's a lot better than I had expected though it does remind me of ...
