La Fondue - Saratoga

14550 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA 95070
59 reviews

Wine paired with cheese and chocolate is almost as good as wine with steak =] The Flaming Tortoise was my favorite. Ambience was a little too dim for my liking but an overall fun dining experience. Don't lose your dipper in the fondue or else you owe someone at the table a kiss or the next round of drinks haha

When coming to Hachi Ju Hachi, one must try omakase for a truly unique Japanese food experience. I thought I wrote a review for this already ... I am a fan of this place. I love their appetizer which was the Littleneck Clams but they have taken that off the menu. I swear it was the best clams I ever had. We also order their special of the night which was Dungeness Crab Pasta which was a ...

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! One of the best culinary experience I had in a long time. We had the chef's tasting menu and the best part in the menu was definitely the souffle. It's pretty expensive but I enjoyed the food so much I think it's worth it...

Now THIS is upscale, authentic Mexican food! Prices are on the steep side, so this is definitely not your typical taqueria. If you like pork you must get the Cochinita Noble. Super tender and flavorful chile marinated pork. It is truly the most delicious slow roasted pork you'll ever taste! Margaritas are some of the best I've ever had - ...

    Big Basin Cafe

0.11 mi from La Fondue - Saratoga

Too precious. Lovingly crafted beverages. Patio had a street musician -- oh no not a guitarist, an accordionist! The already-crowded interior and patio was exacerbated by our photowalk participants. Obviously the hot spot for Saratogans to connect.

Didn't see anything particular stand out amount this combination of a frozen yogurt place, pearl tea offerings, gelato and crepes. They've spread themselves thin trying to please everyone without specializing in anything particular. The yogurt was typical. The gelato case didn't look impressive as some were melting while others appeared icy. Pearl tea was pretty good. Crepes sounded temping but ...

Oh hai, a Thai-rrific and moderately priced spot in sleepy downtown Saratoga? Who would've ever thought! My favorite Saratogans and I met up for a late dinner here, and I really enjoyed it. This tiny place is easy to miss, but it's one of the few places that is actually open past 9pm on Big Basin Way. Just look out ...

The wooden styling and pretty balcony make this coffee shop in Saratoga's historic downtown strip a great choice. They also sell bagels, sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, and pastries. Sip tea while listening to live music most Thursdays and Sundays.

I love this place. Just about everything about it. The patio is great, but I'd like to see more comfortable seating. It's completely enclosed so you'll never get cold or wet. the somelliere is really fun and knows her wines. The wine bar is gorgeous. The Mediterranean food is really delicious. And the live music on the weekends is GREAT. ...

I have to say, this is my favorite lunch restaurant in Saratoga. They have an incredible variety and it's always fresh and delicious. They're a little higher in price than a couple of other places, but just by a couple of dollars and the quality makes up for the difference in price. Recently they added Greek food to the menu ...

It's lovely and all, but ... I don't know ... I wasn't blown away. Maybe because I grew up 2 blocks from the Japanese Tea Garden in SF and went there often (back when it was free). I wanted to sit down and have some green tea and arare served by kimono-clad women.

Authentic to a point that is almost a bit too traditional. Soong Soong is the kind of restaurant I could rely on when I crave for some homey Chinese food. There's nothing better than having a lovely steak for dinner. I've enjoyed some great steaks over the years, but this place was a disappointment. We ordered: - Butternut squash soup = my all time favorite soup. Extra richness and creamy. - Filet mignon = medium rare with broccolini and carrot. Overcooked and under season. - Ahi Tuna = seared rare, ...

As promised, after a sad documentary movie that I would be rewarded with a delightful dinner at Dio Deka.
