La Mesa is an overall beautiful community. Lake Murray and Cowles mountain is one of it's gems and definitely a place to see.

I am biased as I grew up here.. La Mesa is called "The Jewel of the Hills" and rests at the bottom of Mt. Helix (a beautiful lookout)! There is a lot to do in the downtown area, bars, restaurants.. it hosts car shows Thursday nights in the summer and a really fun Oktoberfest!

Although not sharing the same city name, La Mesa is relatively close to San Diego. However, this city is more inland and it can get hotter in the summers and colder in the winters. Also known as a town of the suburbs, it's a great place for kids to grow up.
