This place is a standing favorite. They are open until very late - perfect for after a night out in the mission.
The tacos are best - fresh, very full, delicious.
Burritos - go with what you know. Well filled, well balanced - definitely two meals worth.
Nachos - piled high with whatever you ask for, piping hot.
This place is not as known as some of the other Mission taquerias, but it is definitely one of the better ones. Also, on the cheaper side. Yum!

I walked past this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant many times before a friends recommended it to me -- and I quickly saw I'd been missing out. There are a number of unique and delicious dishes on the menu, especially for vegetarians -- papusas with sundried tomatoes and goat cheese, giant banana leaf tamales with green salsa, collard greens and soy meat (or real meat) and tofu tamales with Oaxacan mole. The atmosphere is vibrant, the service is always friendly and the meal comes with a bounty of chips and salsa. This place is almost across the street from the famous Gracias Madre, but just as good, more spacious and half the price.Recommended for:Vegetarian

Great for tacos and tamales. They have both regular corn husk and banana leaf wrapped tamales. I highly recommend the banana leaf chicken mole tamales. And save room for their amazing hot chocolate.
