The university area of the city on the left bank, south of the Seine. Great place to find affordable options especially for dining!

This historic university is located in one of the most underrated parts of Paris. Great, inexpensive dining and shops that stock everything you could need.

One of Europe's oldest universities La Sorbonne is steeped in learning, and tradition. Walk the corridors where hundreds of great minds have walked before.Recommended for:Students

The Sorbonne, as westerners call it, houses parts of a few universities and schools, remnants of the very old Université de Paris. The lecture halls are beautiful and a couple of them even cozy like l'amphithéâtre Descartes and Turgot. Do not walk in whilst a lecture is going on, you might get a lashing by the professor, well I did. Still, walking the halls makes you wish you were actually studying here. The main reading room of the library is almost regal. On the rue St-Jacques, what I did not expect to find was an observatory, with two domes.

Venerable university, one of the world's oldest, has a long and storied history of academic greatness. Eeeh, the lucky ones had the chance to study there ... :)

While I was in college I had the privileged to take courses here at the prestigious university. The lovely main campus is located right in the Latin Quarters.
There are many off campus classes though if you are taking French classes. The teachers are helpful and nice. If you are thinking about taking classes here, it is a good thought :D

I never got to go inside, but it added to the Latin Quarter a symbol of growth, education and it stands as a symbol for the people who live in the Latin Quarter, Students. It is so beautiful on the outside, i can't imagine the historical beauty in has inside
