    Kaanapali Beach

    92 reviews

Kaanapali has the busiest hotels on Maui so there are people everywhere, but it still has beauty and gorgeous sunsets. The walkway begins at the Hyatt and goes nearly to Black Rock. Be careful or you'll end up wearing someone's latte! Parasailing and jet skis at the south end or row a canoe.

    Old Lahaina Luau

    69 reviews

Old Lahaina is the one to go to . I've been to my fair share of Luau's and by far I think this one is the best. The key is to book a reservation early and plan ahead. We had a great time and it was not nearly as cheesey as some of the other ones we have been to. ...

An incredible sight to see! Be sure to stop by just before sunset so you can hear the thousands of birds talking to each other high in the treetop. An easy 5 minute walk from our condo.

    Napili Bay Beach

    32 reviews

One of our favourite beaches -- the sand is really soft and the water nice and calm. Great place for the kids. Bonus: the honu (sea turtles) love coming into the shallow waters there (but PLEASE don't pet them!). Bring your snorkel gear!

    Maui Brewing Co.

I love beer and they make some good ones here. A good selection from light to heavier beers. The food is OK, but not great.

Awesome tree, planted in 1873, just amazing how it has spread and re-rooted. A favorite night resting place for hundreds and hundreds of birds.

    Lahaina harbor

    17 reviews

This is the place to go to find a fishing or whale watching trip. Lots of options. We wandered out here and past all the boats to sit out on the rock pier and watched tourists get surf lessons right by the elementary school. Quite entertaining.

    Nakalele Blowhole

    16 reviews

A nice adventurous drive towards the northwest side of Maui, you'll park and take a short hike down to the Nakalele Blowhole. The drive itself is windy and slow along the coast. It's scenic with lots of valleys, cliffs, small homes, and towns, not as lush as the Road to Hana, but has its own landscape and charm. After parking ...

    Sugar Cane Train

    15 reviews

Slowly running a six-mile stretch of track between the old whaling town of Lahaina and the resorts of Ka'anapali beach in West Maui, the old-style steam locomotive crosses a high trestle and includes some nifty narration on the way. Kids, as a rule, adore it.

    Pacific Whale Foundation

    9 reviews

I did a whale watching tour with Pacific Whale Foundation out of Ma'alea Harbor and it was a great experience. They were incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the animals but also made sure we had a great viewing experience. It is such an amazing organization I strongly suggest choosing them over other tour operators.

    Front Street

    8 reviews

Tons of shops and restaurants along the ocean. Good for all sorts of shopping and dining. There are some historical sites as well. For casual dining we've had good meals at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Cheeseburger in Paradise, and Moose McGuillcutty's. I'o restaurant is amazing, and expensive, fine dining with an emphasis on fresh fish and local ingredients. The Lahaina ...

    Papalaua Beach Park

    9 reviews

If its not windy, this beach is really nice. The southern end has a break that surfers like. The trees have thorns. Posted no camping, but rumor has it you can camp as long as you're fishing.
