    There really isn't much up there except for an abandoned lodge that is kinda fun but spooky to explore. The views are fantastic, though. Some guys from the KWS took me up here in a Land Cruiser and getting to the top was probably the most memorable part - we seemed to be going places that cars just shouldn't go.

    Description

    Sitting on the border of Tanzania and Kenya, below a 100 meter high depression rim sits this crater lake. The lake itself, which sits in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro is virtually inaccessible. However, it is still a worthwhile outing to take a hike or 4x4 expedition the rim to gaze down on the tidy-bowl colored water, lush surrounds, and stunning views.
