This is a nice place to stay while you are preparing for a houseboat trip on the lake. There is a restaurant, a bar, a gift shop, a pool, and plenty of space to hike and enjoy the lake.

Amazing spot for photography. If you are serious about getting a good shot, take the upper canyon photography tour - they will stop traffic and allow you to get some amazing shots. Be sure to bring a tripod and be prepared for your camera to be covered in dust/dirt. For the lower canyon you can get a photo pass and ...

Well worth stopping for. It is a little short of 4 miles to Page and is not well sign posted--need to pay attention. Need to climb a small hill to see it. Really spectacular. Keep a hand on little ones and tie down you hat as it is often windy-- there are no railings so approach the edge with caution ...

I love a great view. This is one of those iconic bridges that extremists picture bungee jumping off of. I just think that the view is one of the best in the west, and I always have to stop and play with my camera when I'm on or near this bridge.

Taking a jet ski through this canyon early in the morning when the water is like glass may be one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had while vacationing. The beauty on this portion of the lake is astounding.

    Sand King

7.41 mi from Lake Powell Resort
    2 reviews

The Sand King is a huge pile of sand that extends from the top of a canyon all the way down to the water. It's a bit of a strenuous (but short) hike to the top, but then you can roll, jump, dive, or otherwise make your way down this gigantic and steep pillow of fine white sand. We weren't ...

My experience with Wahweap Marina consisted of picking up the house boat and speed boat we rented, getting orientation by the marina crew, etc. The marina was much nicer than I expected and seemed like it had new buildings / facilities. The staff were ultra helpful and friendly. The marina store had limited goods where we stocked up on a ...

If the attraction is named in this area, then it is worth looking at. Everything is mesmerizing in this area, and if you haven't brought a camera, you will kick yourself later. The cliffs are great to walk on, look at, or climb. They are a beautiful work of nature.
