You'll be forced to visit once -- and probably should. This is the touristy drunken night life Mecca found it most cities. If you are twenty, on a budget, and just want to drink... this is the place.

I really enjoyed hanging out at Lan Kwai Fong. It's the unofficial pub/bars/restaurants/expat area. It's lively and you'll see locals and expats walking all over the place. For those that are seeking the nightlife in Hong Kong, I'd highly recommend coming to Lan Kwai Fong.

Even if you don't like going clubbing, LKF is a sight to see. (If you do, this is *the* place to go in HK). This is where the expats and HK elite gather to mingle. On a typical Friday or Saturday night, the open streets are crowded with hip people from all over the world. Head to the 7-11 on LKF or D'Aguilar Street to hang out, socialize and find out where everyone's going that night.

The top party spot in HK. It's cracking almost every night in this area - filled with expats, bankers and tourists. So many memorable or not so memorable nights here. Every year there are new clubs and bars that are popping up. Prices are similar on the US and bottles are even more pricey than in the states. Do a bar hop happy hour here to see all the cool venues.

LKF is still the happening place to be for night life in Hong Kong on a Friday or Saturday night. They also have special events from time to time like the Beer Festival and coinciding with Brazil's Carnivale, LKF has their own version.

It is a great place to hang out and drink or simply grab a bite to eat at one of the numerous restaurants in the area also.

The metro is only a block away so you can get there from nearly anywhere in Hong Kong. In the evenings, vehicle traffic is shut off. That makes for a great party venue with people hopping from bar to bar. A must on any party goers schedule.

Looking for ex-pats to drink with? Then Lan Kwai Fong is the strip to hit. There are lots of bars along the street offering drink specials. Personally, I prefer heading up a block to Wyndham Street, where there are more swanky lounges and open air bars. You'll find a lot of young finance guys in suits hanging out there (if that's your thing).

Haven't been here in a few years but certainly a fun place to go. A lot of locals and foreigners go for the clubs and bars.

Tons of bars and restaurants to try here. It has a hip vibe with expats, travelers, and locals all converging at night to hang out and have drinks.

This is the best place for nightlife period
If you want some place to pre-drink go to Tsim Sha Tsui Knutsford Terrace, Tsim Sha Tsui Elements Chill Square.

    Have fun!

The western watering hole of Hong Kong. Whether Ebeneezer's or something else, you come here to hang out and enjoy a drink. I had the pleasure of walking through here everyday while I had an internship in the mid-levels.

Where all the night life is, well maybe not all, but always a good time. Lots of Western-style bars and some live music.

Many complain this isn't a local place to hang out but I argue this is THE place to get a taste of the truly expat life that dominates HK Island. If you're on a budget, stop by one of the 7-11's, grab a cold Blue Girl or Tsingtao and wander the streets people watching. See if you can find the i-banker hangouts, the russian ice bar, and the Irish bar!

Not a spot for the locals, but probably the MUST-GO spot for foreigners when visiting Hong Kong. It's great to be bar hopping on Lan Kwai Fong. There might be a lot of pretentious girls there, but I guess this is the same in every country. This is a night-time activity spot.

As much as LKF is a famous nightlife central and bar hopping hub with the young, the hip, and the expats, it is at its heart a very traditional neighborhood where many old timer hong kong residents 老友記 still reside.

Over the years the older residents have learned to put up with the rowdier young revelers while the party going regulars learned to respect the need for peace of the residents upstairs.

Very interesting dynamics indeed. Most visiting probably think westerners, expats and parties run the place, but the elder locals here are stealth! I sometimes hang out at a local friends apartment here and it is as old school Hong Kong layout as it gets....plus six flights of stairs because these older residential buildings here DO NOT have elevators!

Good ol' LKF. Filled with probably 75% expats and foreign exchange students, Lan Kwai Fong is definitely the place to go out on weekends. Pretty much all of the legit clubs in Hong Kong are in LKF. It's really easy to make drunken friends in the streets and Club 7 (711) is a real hot spot. I was never a huge fan of the music in LKF. It's pretty much all top 40 stuff. It's what you'd hear in a bad club in America like 3-6 months ago. However, if you venture a bit off the main drag to clubs like Fly, you can find some cool music. Just try new clubs until you find the ones you like best.

Lan Kwai Fong is an almost overwhelming area in Hong Kong that is just perfect for partying. In the lower areas you have all the bars and then as you go higher, you start running into clubs. My friends and I preferred to start off at 7/11 (Club 7) because drink prices are really insane, especially for college students. There's a bar somewhere around here thats made of ice, so be on the look out for that!

Description

Lan Kwai Fong is the predominant place for partying in Hong Kong. Visit on Halloween and/or Christmas and you will find people dressing up and parading through the streets. Many Ex-pats call LKF home. Come and see why!
