    Tavern Law

    0.14 mi from Lark Restaurant

    7 reviews

It is a great prohibition themed speak easy. The downstairs section is the library, but the real gem is the upstairs section. You have to call from the phone to check if there is space upstairs, which is kind of a pain. However, it is worth it. It is very cozy upstairs with great custom-crafted cocktails.

I love to come here on a lazy weekend and just take two hours to eat a meal. It's a great place to relax and the food is simple and good.

    Unicorn

The boldly striped exterior of the Unicorn is only the a hint of the visual delights that await inside. From the unusual animal heads mounted on the walls to the gorgeous, brightly painted bar, the Unicorn is almost overwhelmingly visually stimulating. But it's not just all looks. The wait staff is friendly and fun (unusual for a hipster bar) and ...

    High 5 Pie

    0.13 mi from Lark Restaurant

Pies of all stripes, from fruit to cream to meat, plus tea and coffee. High 5 is quiet with a spare and modern interior. It's a little out of the way if you're cruising the bars of Pike / Pine by foot but that's also what makes it a great place to chill out and escape the crowd. Very close ...

A relatively new addition to Capitol Hill neighborhood restaurants. I like the decor of the place with blue ceramic tiles that resemble Mexican tiles. The best part of the restaurant is the semi-outdoor seating area in the back. When the weather is nice, you can sit there and enjoy a cool drink and some snacks. I had the special roasted ...

Picked up some Bluebird Microcreamery vanilla bean ice cream at the shop downstairs and it was a delicious after dinner treat. In hindsight, I wish that I had thought to grab something chocolatey to eat with it. Hindsight is 20/20 I suppose.

I was looking to take my friend Joa K. out to dinner for her hospitality during my visit to Seattle and I found this lovely little Japanese restaurant in Capitol Hill. Apparently, she had never been so we made reservations on Open Table. First of all, the restaurant is deceivingly larger than it appears. There's a back room, plus a ...

Good beer, and your typical Northwest brewery/restaurant. The bar area is small, so not your best option if you're coming with a large group and you don't want a table.

    Oddfellows Cafe

New Rustic Northwestern food with an updated edge on comfort food. Oddfellow's has a lot of long communal tables (and even the small tables are so close together that they feel communal) so come ready to get cozy. Consistently solid for all three meals. I recommend the roast chicken. The red brick and industrial feel of the interior is quintessential ...

    Chop Suey

Chop Suey is a smaller music venue on the Eastern edge of the Pike / Pine corridor. I'm usually there for electronic music (Caribou, F*** Buttons) but they have plenty of rock and locals acts too. Their stage is a kind of picture-window, which can obscure your view sometimes, but nonetheless I've always had a great time.

    Osteria La Spiga

    0.17 mi from Lark Restaurant

Dishes on the menu seem simple, and might strike a modernist diner as anti-innovative, but La Spiga is all about well-bought ingredients and sheer expert quality. Order anything. Just anything. If I had to find a fault it would be that the desserts, although strong, aren't at the stratospheric level of the pastas and appetizers.
